What is 'Yin' Yoga?

Yin Yoga targets the body’s connective tissues through long-held, passive poses. This gentle approach promotes flexibility and inner peace, making it a great break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Beyond physical benefits, Yin Yoga helps alleviate stress and anxiety, encouraging mental tranquility. Holding each pose for an extended period promotes introspection and the release of tension.

Our Yin Yoga classes offer a serene environment for this practice. Led by an experienced instructor, our small-group sessions allow for personalized guidance, making them suitable for both newcomers and seasoned practitioners. Join us to nurture your body, mind, and spirit.

What is Salt Therapy?

People have used salt for centuries to treat various ailments. As early as ancient Greece, people realized the healing power of salt. Native Americans also used salt to heal wounds and respiratory problems. Interest in salt as a therapeutic resurged in the 1800s Europe when it was observed that miners working in salt mines had significantly fewer respiratory problems than other people in town, even the non-miners.

Halotherapy (the modern version of salt therapy) works by exposing the body to salt particles in a controlled environment. The salt particles have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties that can help with respiratory conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and allergies. Halotherapy can also help with skin problems such as psoriasis, eczema, and acne.

And all you’ll need to do is sit back, relax, and breathe!

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably, so that you’re completely relaxed for the session! The salt therapy will leave a light dusting of salt on your clothing (and you!) but it can be easily brushed off. That said, lighter colors are easier to dust. And remember that you are encouraged to remove your shoes in our Salt Suite, so that you can feel the salt sand between your toes! (Lockers are available onsite).

Do I need to bring anything?

Things to bring (if you have them – if not, some will be made available):

  • Yoga mat (that you don’t mind getting dusted with salt!)
  • Yoga blocks
  • Yoga towel

Can I bring a group?

Each session can accomodate up to 5 class members. Note that all sessions must be paid for at the time of booking. Have a question or concern? Reach out to us at 469-314-1218 during our normal business hours!

A word from your instructor, Becky stokes

My approach to teaching yoga is based in the understanding that everyone can benefit from a yoga practice; every person’s body is unique and cannot be forced but coaxed to open. This approach is referred to as Functional yoga.

Emphasis is on encouraging focus on the breath and making sure each posture causes no pain but instead helps the practitioner explore his/her own limits.

My classes are tailored to the needs to the students – for example Chair yoga for senior citizens and beginners. Hatha and vinyasa flow for beginning to intermediate students. My focus is always on the safety of my students.

Thanks for stopping by, We'll see you soon!
